The Sacramento World Music and Dance Festival invites you to become a sponsor for our 4th annual festival. This feast of music, dance, art and education celebrates Sacramento’s position as one of the most culturally diverse cities in the country, creating a unifying experience for people and families of all ages. “The Sacramento World Music & Dance Festival celebrates the rich diversity woven throughout our community,” said Lina Fat, past board chair of the festival and Executive Chef of Fat’s Restaurants. “It’s extraordinary that dancers and musicians with ties from all over the globe will be performing right here in Sacramento.”
From 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 2, Old Sacramento will be transformed into a feast for the eyes, heart and mind with dance and music from around the world, culinary events, art, a series of public shows, children’s theatre performances and more. Youth and adults will also experience cultural awareness through educational and interactive experiences that teaches children and families about our region’s cultures through hands-on activities (craft and art, dance clinics, musical instruments). And it’s all free.
The festival, a nonprofit (501C(3) organization receives no government funds. We offer sponsors a variety of ways to contribute (financial, in-kind services or products and volunteerism).
Our sponsors return each year because they know this is one of the most direct and cost-effective ways to promote their image/brand. This year’s publicity has added an extensive social media marketing campaign. A recent study (http://www.socialmediaexaminer.com/social-media-marketing-industry-report-2011/) shows that 88% of those surveyed said social media marketing generated exposure for their business. With 175 million users every 24 hours on Facebook and Twitter at 15 million active users a day, we understand the importance of using a variety of social media marketing approaches to publicize the festival. This is in addition to the support we receive from Sacramento News and Review, with programs, schedules and ads for sponsors. We offer a range of sponsorship options with specific details about how you benefit from having your business highlighted as a festival sponsor. The festival grows in popularity each year, with a projected attendance this year of 8,000 to 10,000 people, allowing us to add new sponsorship opportunities.
Community outreach is important for all organizations. The festival provides access to people who echo Sacramento’s demographics. According to a National Endowment for the Arts study, “47 million people attended at least one outdoor performing arts festival. Festival audiences also, on average, are more diverse than those for many other types of live art events… and seem to more closely resemble the general population than do other groups of art-goers.”
